"I am proud that night after night and album after album, a mass of humanity I now refer to lovingly as the pop underground, come together and sing. Whether it's in theaters and concert venues around the world, in the privacy of our own homes or the constantly shifting landscape of social media, we are a scrappy tribe and we stand for something: Music that is found, shared and cared for despite access to traditional outlets; music that lives virally and through word of mouth; music that tells a story that people want to retell." - Andrew McMahon

| Oy, ya sounded like it. But we did get a beautiful heart-wrenching song out of it, so there's that. Oh Andrew, she must not have been thinking clearly my dear. If only....... | Back to top | |

| Hahaha that's why Miss Delaney is so embarrassing, who wants to be known for *not* sleeping with Andrew? Lmao. Stupid girl! (In all seriousness, probably the best choice she could have made since she was quite obviously the rebound girl and their relationship was doomed. But. Still.) | Back to top | |

| Back to questions, I wonder what his schedule is like when he's set aside time for writing. Like, when does he escape to his little shack, does he have a set working day or just work when the mood strikes? Does he give himself the weekend off? (Lol, probably not.) | Back to top | |

| These are good questions. Does he stay at the little shack or does he go home to sleep? | Back to top | |

| God, it must be annoying to live with people with artistic temperaments...
"Hey wife, I know I've been away for months and I've only been home for a couple of weeks, but I'm moving into a little hobbit house to write my next genius album, see ya."
"That's nice dear."
Of course it would be worth it, but I still admire Kelly for everything she puts up with. | Back to top

| What is the morse code at the beginning of Keep Rising? Has anyone ever asked him that? Doesn't sound like SOS and that's the only morse I know! | Back to top | |

| I was wondering...is it more difficult to sing someone else's song or his own...back in the Something Corporate days there was Josh who also wrote songs...I wonder if there were just some he might have said "yeah I'm not really feelin that one.." I mean you can't tell, he sings everything with conviction, I was just wondering..
Oh and how on earth is he so honest in songs? How can he pour all that out and perform it with all the emotion that just sucks people in? That to me, would be the hardest thing ever... you're kind of, for lack of a better term, naked up there in front of everyone. I imagine it would be a bit therapeutic or cathartic or something but also scary as hell. His music aside, which I adore, obviously, he gets all the awards for the incredible honesty alone.
Sorry for the ramble..just had to get that out there... | Back to top

| I have definitely thought that about him singing Josh's songs, especially the kind of awkwardly sex-related ones. Makes you wonder if he was ever just like, TMI BRO. Hahaha.
But yeah, I agree about the honesty and just the frankness with which he approaches some really tough situations in his music. So many of the Glass Passenger songs especially are really heavy and he must have to tap into those emotions again to make them feel genuine, and they always do. | Back to top

| Yes!!! They always do and I can see why he said he "hated" that album. Not that I hate it...on the contrary, actually. But I can see that there may be a lot of emotions needing to be resolved and that breaks my heart but still you are what you have gone through and from what I have encountered he is a hell of a guy.
I can only imagine the hells...and to have him be who he is coming out of it...just wow. It just makes him all the more admirable, inspirational, and incredible. I have nothing but respect for him and his family. | Back to top

| Goofy thing, but I was able to meet him at the Bloomington show. And I had that horrible moment that all the legitimate things I wanted to ask him about specific songs flew out the window and all I could muster was "What are you drinking?" And I assumed it was a beer, but it was an old fashioned. xD I inadvertently found out his favorite drink, at least.
I would probably ask him in hindsight what b-sides from both SoCo and JM he wishes weren't b-sides (aside from Watch the Sky) and what funny stories or things he remembered from touring with the other bands. | Back to top

| Lol it's so easy to get starstruck and forget what you want to tell him! I'm pretty sure I completely forgot to even introduce myself the first time I met him lol so at least you didn't literally forget your name | Back to top | |

| He loves talking about booze so really that is a fine question! Rye or bourbon old fashioned has been his drink of choice for a while now.
We had a lighthearted disagreement as to whether there should or should not be cherries in them (I am pro, he is against). XD | Back to top
